Roses have hips

21 Feb

roesehipsI think rose hips are just as pretty as the roses themselves. I painted this on a gray gloomy day because I needed a dose of orange to cheer me up. 6″x6″, oil. This is on a cradled panel with painted sides and can be hung framed or unframed. There’s a shot showing the sides at DPW where it is available for sale.

Happy Paint Party Friday!

It’s great how a color can change your outlook on a gray and gloomy day. We don’t get many of those days in the south, but when we do – those touches of happy make a big difference. Lovely painting!
