Sunday Sketches – Bus Stop Bot

For this week’s Sunday Sketches I added a new robot to my Fictional Encycolpedia of Mechanical Contrivances (ROBOTS) for  Sketchbook Project 2012. This guy is expecting rain so he wore his galoshes because water and robots aren’t a good mix. The scanner washed it out in places. There’s a shadow under the bench that doesn’t even show in the scan. Oh, well. So, how’s everyone else doing with their Sketchbook project? I had put mine where I didn’t see it and accidentally forgot it for a while. Must do better! Must make robots!

This is so creative and plus…I LOVE ROBOTS! MY scanner tends to either…pick up every little grain in my paper…or just white out my whole drawing. SIGH!!!!

this is so cute, reminds me of primary school when we made such stuff just like that, but now i do realise robots are more than just boxes. πŸ˜›

Scanners are tricky beasts when it comes to pencil. Keep experimenting with the settings is my advice, or use photoshop to enhance the bits it missed off. If you create a duplicate layer then use the multiply blend mode it enriches a washed out piece.

This is very cute anyway. Let’s hope he doesn’t get rusty cogs!

Hey, that ‘bot is from the Pacific Northwest – he comes complete his bumbershoot. πŸ™‚ That’s going to be an awesome “encyclopedia.”

Still need to get the sketchbook. Been busy with other things. Speaking of which: if you need a tester on that new crochet shawl …

Yeah, if I ever finish writing the pattern, LOL. I wish there was an anti-procrastination pill. I’ll let you know when it’s ready, though!
