I made this little art doll today for an online friend I am in a swap with. This isn’t what I was supposed to be making, but you know how some projects just don’t work out? Well I had one of those. I hope she will be happy with this little gal, instead. I drew and colored her with colored pencils on fabric, heat set, then sewed by hand and stuffed. Then sprayed her with some matte sealer for a little protection.
She’s about 4 3/4″ tall.
I love that you “made it work.” Nicely done!
oh my goodness……your little doll is as cute as a button! your swap buddy is going to LOVE it! i had no idea you could use colored pencil on fabric and then heat set it……wow!
Thanks! You do still need to spray seal it or something and it probably wouldn’t hold up to play for a child but seems to work fine for an art doll.
