Very quick and dirty sketch of a woman in a cowl. She was in the catalog on the couch next to me last night and I sketched her so I’d have something for Sunday Sketches. I used a mechanical pencil because it was there, but a regular pencil would have blended a lot better. I don’t know why I chose a model with such a strange expression, an open mouth, and teeth showing. It needs work still but I was tired and went to bed so this is what you get, LOL. It was good practice, at least.
Wonderful practice piece (as you said) I think it is great! ~hanks, Carol (Share the Creative Journey) linked with Sunday Sketches ~ ^_^

p.s. I always end up using a mechanical pencil too…
Your sketch is good even if you were tired. Thanks for visiting my blog, had to laugh at what you wrote about the speeding photos being more punishment than the fine, so true! Have a good week, and take care, Valerie

I’ll echo everyone’s previous comments – this is wonderful. I especially like the fabric folds.

Mouths are so hard! I didn’t get this one right either, but I decided it was good enough. 😉
