This week’s DPW challenge is statues. A few weeks ago, I spotted a stone lion behind the iron fence of a courtyard in downtown Covington, LA. I only had this morning to paint so he’s cropped to a head shot and only 4″. Oil on panel.

Wow he’s a powerhouse!! Good job…but he scares me!! We have two lions heads flanking a bridge called the lionsgate… similar to this one!!
